The Shure VP83 LensHopper is a shotgun microphone designed for capturing high-definition audio with DSLR cameras and portable audio recorders. The integrated coiled 3.5mm cable simply connects straight into a recording devices audio input.
With a supercardioid polar pattern the VP83 provides outstanding protection from noise interference caused by wind and other ambient noises to deliver natural sound reproduction in any situation. The audio reproduction is rich with a wide frequency range high sensitivity low self-noise and a full end response.
Furthermore the Rycote Lyre shock mount system isolates vibration and mechanical noise for quiet operation. A foam windscreen adds another layer of protection from wind noise when filming outdoors and all-metal construction ensures durability. The LensHopper operates on 1 x AA battery for up to 130 hours of continuous use lasting throughout any video shoot.

Accessible Control
Should you find yourself recording within extremely loud environments, simply use the three-position audio gain switch found on the back of the microphone. The switch features the option to toggle between -10 dB, 0 dB, and +20 dB, so you can alter the levels dependent on how loud different sound sources are.
