Radial Workhorse X-Amp-500 500 Series Reamper
Reamping made easy. The Radial X-Amp-500 allows you to pre-record a dry guitar signal then feed up to two amplifiers simultaneously using the convenient 1/4 guitar-level outputs on the front panel.

When you want to retain the natural and dynamic feel of a live track but also want the versatility to alter the timbre reamping is your best friend. The X-Amp-500 boasts simple plug and play operation and allows you to take advantage of the built-in features of your existing 500 Series rack system.

When used with the Workhorse rack you have instant access to the OmniPort input which acts as a hi-Z guitar input for the X-Amp allowing you to record dry guitar signals or distribute the signal to your amplifiers.

The X-Amp buffers and unbalances your signal allowing you to feed amps up to 50 feet away without signal loss. The Radial X-Amp-500 is the perfect tool for achieving incredible tone without the hassle of re-recording guitar parts over and over again.

Scenarios and Applications Recording a Dry Track:
The X-Amp 500 allows you to use Radials proprietary OmniPort input when used with the Workhorse 500 Series rack system. This input is configured to be used as a Hi-Z guitar input for the X-Amp 500. Plug your guitar into the OmniPort input and feed guitar amps using the front panel 1/4 outputs whilst sending the dry guitar signal from the XLR output connector on the back of your Workhorse into your DAW.

Reamping:
You can take the pre-recorded dry track you recorded through the X-Amp or any other recording setup and send it to your X-Amp 500 via the XLR input on your 500 Series rack. The signal can be fed from Out-1 and Out-2 to your guitar amps so you can mic up the amplifiers and record them for new tonal and creative possibilities with the same feel and response as if the guitarist was right there.

Using the X-Amp as a Distributor:
Simply connect your guitar to the OmniPort on your Workhorse 500 Series rack system and you can then send your guitar signal out to two amplifiers using Out-1 and Out-2 up to 50 feet away.
