The Zoom MSH-6 Mid-Side Microphone Capsule for H5 H6 Q8 U-44 and F8n utilises two microphone elements to deliver a highly immersive stereo image by capturing sound in front of the microphone as well as the sides. The forward-facing unidirectional microphone (Mid) is for capturing dialogue whilst the side-facing bi-directional microphone (Side) captures ambient sound. This provides the ability to shape your sound with utmost precision and flexibility using the onboard MS decoder to deliver a mono-compatible stereo image. You can even adjust your sound after recording making it ideal for film video and TV projects. Dial in your volume using the analog-style gain control numbered one through ten for quick and easy adjustments. You can also use the onboard controls of your Zoom recorder to adjust the stereo width by increasing/decreasing the side mic level.
