Dark and classic with modern clarity. The finest qualities of Constantinople passed down through the ages. Crash it for rock ride it for jazz. The Constantinople 20 medium-thin ride has a crystal-clear stick definition that complements the groove beautifully. Beneath this is a subtle and well-controlled dark washiness. The bell is powerful and cutting which is great for hard driving grooves and accents. The high profile of the 20 Constantinople ride ensures a higher pitch timbre than the low Constantinople model but still a dark tone overall. Both ride cymbals are outstanding in their quality. Although it has its roots in jazz the K Zildjian Constantinople ride has a huge bell tone and is super crashable making it great for jazz rock and everything in-between.
K Constantinople The K Constantinople series associates its sound with the Zildjian cymbals made in Turkey during the first half of the 20th Century. Resurfacing in the 50s and 60s with bebop era drummers “Old Ks” have laid the ground work for the new K Constantinople series. Skilled artisans have hand lathed this 20″ Medium Thin Ride cymbal using old-style cutting tools and techniques to retain pits and other surface impurities that modern finishing processes remove. This process allows the original tonal quality to be retained and untainted. The Zildjian K Constantinople 20″ Medium Thin Ride Cymbal is a high performance ride cymbal used by many professional drummers such as Ulysses Owens JR. (Christian Mcbride) Jorgen Smadal Larsen (Lukestar) Kirk Covington (Scott Henderson) and Stephen Perkins (Janes Addiction).
