App integration To ensure that playing an instrument in the Yamaha YDS series is as intuitive as possible Yamaha placed all of the settings into a dedicated app. With the YDS Controller app you can enhance and fine-tune every element of your performance. Once you download the app you can easily change between the many available tones. You can even adjust the effects for a truly personalised experience. Although the YDS 120 is configured with standard saxophone fingering with the app you can amend the settings. This is particularly useful for customised altissimo fingering. You are also able to add nuance to your performance as the YDP Controller app enables you to adjust the breath resistance response and tuning. Sound your best To ensure you have the best possible tone Yamaha have sampled their premium saxophones. Soprano alto tenor and baritone models have all been meticulously recorded with professional players to make sure you can perform freely and with 56 various voices you can select a style to suit you. There are also an additional 17 non-saxophone voices meaning your performance options arent limited! External connections In addition to the app and headphones you can also use the YDS-120 with other devices! An auxiliary input terminal allows you to easily connect to an external audio source such as a smartphone. Theres also a USB to Host option for recording!
