The Vandoren V16 Tenor Saxophone Reeds have a thicker heel and a longer palette than the Traditional reeds. Developed from the Java reeds with more wood a deeper richer sound is produced. With a thicker tip and a longer palette these produce a percussive sound thats perfect for jazz and modern music styles. Vandorens reeds will also stay fresh thanks to their airtight packaging.
High quality Vandoren cane Vandoren consider everything when growing the cane for their reeds. The soil moisture levels climate and weather are all carefully monitored to ensure the best plants possible. It is then hand-cut to avoid any damage to the fibres before being slowly dried over the course of two years. When ready to be shaped the cane is cut and bevelled to within a tolerance of a hundredth of a millimetre. Reeds are then packaged into “Flow Pack” packaging to protect against humidity variation. Vandoren reeds are meticulously tested to ensure the best playing experience for musicians across the globe.
