The Vandoren Optimum Ligatures are more substantial than the Vandoren M/O ligatures adding weight and depth to the sound. They are equipped with a system that provides a tight secure fit which allows the reed to vibrate freely. The optimum comes with 3 pressure plates which enable the player to modify how the reed is held in place to enhance or aid the performer to achieve their desired tone. Suitable for both jazz and classical playing.
Vandoren Pressure Plates The Vandoren Opt Lig Tenor Pressure Plates includes a set of three interchangeable pressure plates for use with Vandoren ligatures to subtly modify your sound. An easy fit Velcro system makes changing the plates easy while contributing to the flexibility of the entire ligature. Pressure Plate 1: A rich colorful sonority which produces great resonance. As well as pressure along the fibre the reed facilitates along with an unbelievable blowing ease with incredible ease of articulation. Pressure Plate 2: A more compact centered sonority with a smooth even sound and extraordinary blowing ease. Pressure Plate 3: The reed vibrates in total freedom producing a very flexible sound and greater ease of expressions.
