14 clean and pristine audio inputs
Across the top of the unit are the 14 inputs for sending both microphones and instrument inputs. The mixer has space for 10 microphones or 14 line inputs. It also features Bluetooth so you can stream music to the Model 16 – if your device doesn’t use Bluetooth then you can use it to send a CD player or MP3 player through the RCA inputs. If sound quality is a concern – and when isn’t it? – the eight ultra HDDA mic preamps provide you with clean, crisp, and pristine audio tone with extremely low noise.
Get the sound you need
Integral to every mixer is a set of channel strips that feature a deep control set. Model 16 does not disappoint. It features a very tactile Gain knob which allows for accurate control over the input level. There is a low-cut filter which is activated with the push of a button and with the three-way input selector, it’s easier to control your input sources. And of course, there is a 3-band EQ with sweepable mid-range which allows you to fully control the output of your signals. If you want to add effects to your channels then Model 16 provides you with 16 editable and foot controllable multi-effects. These include reverb, delay, chorus, flanger, and many more. And once you’re happy with how everything sounds, send it all through the master 4-band EQ.
Route where you need to
Send your signals wherever you need to. The Model 16 features three AUX busses and pre-fader listen. Providing you with as many pro-level routing options you’ll need in a mixer of this size. There is a subgroup which allows you to drive an amp. You can route to stage monitoring or send over to external processes like EQs or compressors.
Record the whole set
The digital recording capabilities of the Model 16 set it apart from other mixers at this size. The incredible sounding digital recorder can track all 14 channels as well as a stereo main output. This gives you a great way to record rehearsals or even live sets – all sent to the internal SD card in 24-bit quality. Hook the mixer up to your computer as an audio interface and record directly into your DAW – again in 24-bit resolution and hugely low latency. This mixer can truly do it all.
