The Tascam MM-4D/IN-X is an analog to Dante converter with four female XLR mic/line inputs. This compact and powerful piece of equipment is ideal for any Dante-reliant system because in addition to the data + PoE connector is an extra data input that also provides up to four channels supporting Dante digital audio.
With powerful circuitry and ultimate DSP processing power you can be sure that your audio network will transport high-quality digital audio to your output sources latency-free and without interference.
You can configure and control the MM-4D wirelessly via the Tascam DCP Connect application. A simpler and less in-depth Tascam EZ connect is available to users requiring temporary control over the device.
The MM-4D is part of Tascam’s Dante Compact Processor Series and with the extra data connection you can daisy chain them. You can mount the device to your furniture with included brackets or combine two compact processors and the AK-RS1 shelf to create a 19-inch 1U rackmount.

High quality Dante converter
When analog signals aren’t reliable or powerful enough to get your audio where it needs to be, you can rely on Dante to bridge the gap between the audio source and speakers. Dante is a specialized system that combines software, hardware, and network protocols to transport high-quality digital audio and act as a power source for compatible devices. This streamlines your cable requirements to Ethernet only, allowing your equipment to stay tangled and clutter-free.
With a design centered around premium circuitry and a powerful DSP processor, the MM 4D works flawlessly and without latency. To convert the audio from your analog equipment into Dante, the Tascam MM 4D/IN X is the perfect tool. Featuring four analog balanced mic/line female XLR inputs, as well as both Data and Data + PoE connectors, the MM 4D converts the four XLR line inputs to Dante output signals. Thanks to its extensive data connection, it also supports four Dante channels, allowing you to use virtually any audio source within an established Dante network. Each XLR input features proprietary Tascam mic preamps that produce a natural-sounding amplification of your microphone audio.
Easy to set up and use
The MM 4D is extensively customizable with intricate digital control. With two different software applications, you can wirelessly control the MM 4D with a Windows or Mac PC, Android, or iOS. Tascam DCP Connect allows you to configure and fine-tune your inputs and outputs, such as the built-in routing matrix and the 8×4 mixer. The mixer features a four-band EQ, gain trim, and compression for each analog and digital input, as well as a 10-band EQ and additional delay and limiting for each output. Tascam EZ Connect allows the end user to easily adjust volume, change scenes, and wield basic control over the inputs and outputs without changing the in-depth presets of the digital mix bus. Scene presets can be saved and automated with the SNTP client function, so you don’t have to.
Integrating the MM-4D into your existing setup is easy. You can attach it to furniture with included mounting brackets, discretely integrating it into your workspace. Part of the Tascam Dante Compact Processor Series, the MM-4D can be daisy chained via the extra data connector. It can also be combined with another compact processor to be fitted as a 1U 19-inch rackmount using the purpose-made AK-RS1 rackmount shelf. Primarily powered over ethernet (PoE), the Tascam MM 4D can also be powered by an optional (not Included) 12-volt AC adapter. This adapter is powerful enough to supply two Tascam compact processors connected via ethernet, ideal for two units combined in the rackmount configuration.
For any installation, the Tascam MM-4D/IN-X is the ideal analog-to-Dante converter with its compact size, its powerful processing, and deep and intricate customization ability. An essential item for any system running on Dante.
