Tascam MM/2D-X - 2-Channel Mic/Line In/Out Dante Converter XLR
The Tascam MM-2D is a Dante-to-analog and analog-to-Dante converter with four XLR connections. This compact and powerful piece of equipment is ideal for any Dante-reliant system because in addition to the data + PoE connector is an extra data input that also provides up to four channels supporting Dante digital audio in and output.

With powerful circuitry and ultimate DSP processing power you can be sure that your audio network will transport high quality digital audio to your analog output sources and convert analog signals into Dante-compatible digital audio latency-free and without interference.

You can configure and control the MM-2D wirelessly via the Tascam DCP Connect application and a simpler and less in-depth app Tascam EZ Connect is available to users requiring temporary control over the device.

The MM-2D is part of Tascam’s Dante Compact Processor Series and with the extra data connection you can daisy chain them. You can mount the device to your furniture with included brackets or combine two compact processors and the AK-RS1 shelf to create a 19-inch 1U rackmount.

High quality Dante converter

Dante is a specialised system that combines software, hardware, and network protocols to transport high quality digital audio and act as a power source for compatible devices. This streamlines your cable requirements to Ethernet only, allowing your equipment to stay tangle and clutter free.

With a design centered around premium circuitry and a powerful DSP processor, the MM-2D works flawlessly and without latency. For converting audio from your Dante network to your analog audio equipment, as well as sending analog line or microphone signals out to Dante equipment, the Tascam MM-2D is the perfect tool.

Featuring two female XLR mic/line inputs and two analog balanced line XLR outputs, as well as both Data and Data + PoE connectors, the MM-2D converts the two line or microphone signals into Dante compatible digital audio and vice versa. Thanks to its extensive data connection, it also supports four Dante channels that allow you to send digital files to any other device within an established Dante network.

Easy to set up and use

The MM-2D is extensively customizable with intricate digital control. You can wirelessly control the MM-2D with a Windows or Mac PC, Android, or iOS with two different software applications. Tascam MX Connect allows you to configure and fine-tune the internal mixer and the routing matrix. Tascam EZ Connect allows the end user to easily adjust volume, change scenes, and wield basic control over the inputs and outputs without changing the in-depth pre-sets of the digital mix bus. Scene pre-sets can be saved and automated with the SNTP client function.

Integrating the MM-2D into your existing setup is easy. You can attach it to furniture with included mounting brackets, discretely integrating it into your workspace. Part of the Tascam Dante Compact Processor Series, the MM-2D can be daisy chained via the extra data connector. It can also be combined with another compact processor to be fitted as a 1U 19-inch rackmount using the purpose-made AK-RS1 rackmount shelf.

Primarily powered over Ethernet (PoE), the Tascam MM-2D can also be powered by an optional (not included) 12-volt AC adapter. This adapter is powerful enough to supply two Tascam compact processors connected to each other via Ethernet, ideal for two units combined in the rackmount configuration.

For any installation, the Tascam MM-2D is the ideal Dante to analog converter with its compact size, powerful processing, and its deep and intricate customization ability. An essential item for any system running on Dante.
