The Tascam ML-16D converter allows you to insert or extract analog signals and convert them into a Dante network. The ML-16D features four D-Sub inputs and D-Sub outputs. Use these connectors to hook up D-Sub devices such as microphone preamplifiers, large and small format console mixers, and audio interfaces.
The speed and reliability of Dante is now accessible regardless of what analog equipment you use. The ML-16D features very flexible routing to Dante-compatible devices and utilizes the Audient Dante controller software to ensure a quick and easy setup. The ML-16D also features a very useful signal/overload indicator for each of the 16 channels so you can effectively monitor your levels.
Convert with ease! Using the Tascam ML-16D, you can easily transmit up to 16 analog line input/output signals. This is great for hooking up your older analog gear to your modern digital audio workstation. Access the ML-16D’s flexible routing by using the handy – and free – Audient Dante controller software, helping you connect to your DANTE-compatible devices. This Dante-focused device makes the routing of your signals easier than ever. And with three different sample rates – being 44.1k, 48k, and 96k – you’ll be able to get the best possible quality from your instruments and devices.
Monitor your levels accurately. In order to detect problems or just to monitor your levels with a visual cue, Tascam has provided you with a 16-channel indicator. This allows you to watch your signal in, signal out, and overload. It indicates this with 96 LEDs on the front panel of the ML-16D. The indicator flashes when a signal level becomes lower than -60dBFs. This is extremely useful when trying to find trouble spots when more than a few inputs and outputs are being used.
Professionalism as standard. The five reference level settings on the ML-16D offer you a lot of options when fitting the rack-mounted converter into your own mixing environment. The five levels are: +24dBu, +22dBu, +20dBu, and +18dBu (the standard level is +4dBu), and +15dBu with the standard level being +6dBu. This allows you to set your levels to different broadcast standards like public address or broadcast studios.
Flexible connectivity. The ML-16D offers connectivity to input and output breakout boxes. The D-Sub 25-pin connectors are used as analog line input/output connectors which can be connected to optional breakout boxes. They can be connected to BO-16DE, BO-16X/IN, and BO-16DX/OUT boxes (all sold separately) which gives you a myriad of new connectivity options.
