The Electro-Voice ZXA1-SUB 12 Subwoofer is an incredibly portable sub with impressive power, crisp highs, and outstanding low ends. The ZXA1-SUB offers 700-watts of self-powered output to add thunderous lows and highs to speakers in a live performance. Class-D amplification technology ensures silent operation at all times, minimizing the risk of overheating.

There are dual XLR stereo inputs and outputs with a pole mount for use with full-range systems. The subwoofer is housed within an internally braced 9-ply wood enclosure with textured paint and includes an integrated carry handle for easy storage and transport.

Engineered for portability, the Electro-Voice ZXA1-Sub’s low-end boost switch introduces a 60Hz boost for more definition and power in the low end. A polarity switch provides more compatibility with other top boxes, and there is an IEC jack for power commonly used on computer and pro audio equipment. The dual inputs and outputs allow for easy cable management and mono sub configuration.

The wooden enclosure enhances the management and enhancement of low frequencies and provides increased durability. Pole mounts and solid easy-grip handles make the ZXA1-Sub ideal for many portable applications.

Features of the ZXA1-Sub include a 700-watt Class-D amplifier, 126 dB maximum sound pressure level, 12-inch high-output woofer, DSP with low-end boost and polarity control, switchable EQ modes, LED indicators for power and limit, pole mount for full-range systems, 9-ply 15mm internally braced wood enclosure with textured paint, and an integrated carry handle.

The subwoofer is lightweight and has a black color. It has omnidirectional coverage and comes with 2 XLR stereo inputs and 2 stereo outputs. The power requirements are 90V – 132V (1.0A 50/60Hz) for 120V and 190V – 264V (0.6A 50/60Hz) for 230V. The frequency response is 53 – 93Hz (-3dB) and 44 – 118Hz (-10dB) in half space. The maximum SPL is 126 dB in half space.

The system power handling is 700W, and it features a 12-inch EVS-12S woofer and a crossover frequency of 100Hz. The enclosure material is 9-ply 15mm plywood internally braced with textured paint. It is not suitable for outdoor use and has a 16GA steel grille with black powder coat.
