The keyboard also features a TFT colour display and comprehensive controls, allowing for simple, intuitive, and real-time control of a wide range of settings and parameters.
The SL Grand utilises the best-graded hammer action keybed with Ivory Touch and wooden keys, providing a natural feel reminiscent of a well-balanced grand piano. Each key features 3 contacts, ensuring reliable performance and translating every nuance of your playing in an authentic and inspiring way. The centre of the controller houses a LCD TFT colour display and a six-way controller knob, making it incredibly user-friendly to navigate through all the SL Grand’s functions. Functions like switching through the four zones can be easily achieved by moving the controller knob, and specific parameters can be selected and adjusted with a simple click and turn of the same knob. Three push-buttons to the right of the control knob allow you to return to the top-level menu from any location with just one push.
The Studiologic SL Grand offers real-time control through three X/Y stick controllers. These sticks not only provide performance control but also allow for direct control and manipulation of sound parameters. The first X/Y stick is spring-loaded for both X and Y directions, suitable for pitch and modulation control. The second stick is also spring-loaded but only in the X direction, while the third stick is free in both X and Y directions, perfect for panning, crossfading, and various parameter control. All three sticks feature elegant aluminium control shafts that feel balanced and expressive between your fingertips.
The SL Grand also features an exclusive Key-balance function, allowing you to fine-tune the keybed to achieve the desired sound. It provides the ability to adjust the playing balance between the white and black keys with a simple turn of a knob. For even more customization, you can individually fine-tune each and every key. This level of keybed modification is unprecedented in a controller keyboard.
