The SSL Channel Strip 2 is a plug-in format recreation of the famed SSL 9000K Console. It delivers the signature tone and response of the hardware console with modern workflow enhancements and features. The Channel Strip 2 features SSL’s proprietary Anti-Cramping EQ technology, with a switchable response between E and G-series consoles, offering a wide range of functionality for any EQ scenario.
The SSL Native Bus Compressor 2 puts the legendary sound of the SSL console compressor module in your DAW. Taken from the SSL G-Series console, the Bus Compressor 2 delivers the exact analog character and response with multiple additions to suit the digital domain. It makes your tracks sound bigger, more powerful, and punchier while creating cohesion and balance between multiple instruments.

Channel Strip 2: What’s new in Channel Strip 2? Previous iterations did not have an output fader, only an Output Trim control. Channel Strip 2 introduces the Fader Level parameter, which allows you to mix and match with the 4K Channel Strip plug-in inside the 360 Plug-in Mixer for virtual console-style workflow. The Fader Level settings maintain your existing Output Trim parameters, allowing you to balance between analog tone and digital control. The Channel Strip 2 also features extensive filtering and EQ possibilities, with a four-band EQ digitally modeled on the curves of the XL 9000K EQ circuit. It includes a low-pass filter, high-pass filter, and split midrange for greater control over instruments.
Flexible module routing allows you to configure the processing order of the Filters, EQ, and Dynamics processing blocks, offering more flexibility over your signal flow. The Channel Strip 2 also features SSL’s Anti-Cramping technology, which corrects the inherent problem of digital filters bringing the level down to unity at the Nyquist frequency. With seamless integration with SSL hardware, the Channel Strip 2 can be controlled from the 360 Plug-in Mixer and integrates with the UC1 and UF8 hardware control surfaces.
Bus Compressor 2: The Bus Compressor 2 captures the exact response and sound of the SSL G-Series bus compressor section, adding punch and life to your busses. It maintains the dynamic integrity of your tracks, even at high ratios. The Bus Compressor 2 features new parameters for Attack, Release, and Ratio, allowing you to fine-tune the response to the tempo, instrument, group, and genre of your music. It also features a side-chain input with a high-pass filter to add punch and glue to the low end of your tracks in a clean way without causing muddiness.
The SSL Native Bus Compressor 2 offers the classic analog sound with modern digital enhancements, making it flexible for modern producers working in the digital domain. It is compatible with the UC1 controller and delivers the classic glueing effect in your mixes, perfect for use on drum groups or entire mix busses.
