The SSL Fusion Transformer is an analog modelling processor that introduces a number of musical artefacts that replicate the effects of SSL Fusion hardware. Capture the combination of high-frequency phase-shift additional harmonic distortion and natural low-frequency roll-ooff that only an analog transformer can provide. Add low-end thickening and high-end sheen to your productions emulating the 600-ohm 1:1-wound under-damped transformer found in the Fusion hardware. The SSL Fusion Transformer can be applied to whole mixes busses or tracks from subtle presence and body on vocals and instruments to tight lows and clear highs on mixes and masters. Distinctive parameters carve out a unique character for the Fusion Transformer. Use Shine to attenuate the high-frequency phase shift and turn up Amount to amplify harmonic distortion. Both parameters let you push the processing effect to new levels and beyond the original circuit found in the Fusion hardware. Interface controls A comprehensive array of interface controls offers an intuitive workflow and a nuanced sonic character. Segmented I/O metering demonstrates a clear indication of peaks. Input/Output Trim applies gain to the input/output signals. Internal plug-in bypass makes for easy comparisons. LF Extend bypasses the dynamic low-frequency roll-off Shine augments or reduces the high-end sheen and phase shift introduced by the transformer. Amount augments or reduces the harmonic distortion. Finally Mix blends between processed and unprocessed signals. Impossible to overdo Add the distinctive analog tone of the SSL Transformer plug-in to every track in your mix with no fear of an overwhelming or muddy mix. Boasting range and flexibility Fusion Transformer can be quite subtle at default settings but this can quickly add up across an entire session and transform your mix by introducing a cumulative effect that will give you a polished sound with ease. Shine and LF Extend The Shine and LF Extend parameters add new ways to introduce versatility and excitement into your mix. Shine adds high presence that is less harsh than a traditional EQ and LF Extend offers a natural low-end roll-off that occurs as you drive the transformer circuit to retain a warm low-end. Utilise Shine and LF Extend to instantly create depth in instrument groups without making them brittle or jarring. Alternatively add subtle and smooth harmonics to vocals or push input gain and reduce the output on sparse mixes for a unique sonic character.
