Included in the box is 1 QLXD2 Beta 87A Handheld Transmitter, 1 microphone clip, and 1 zipper bag. The transmitter operates with 2 AA batteries and provides up to 9 hours of continuous use. It features exceptionally detailed 24-Bit / 48kHz digital audio quality and over 120 dB of dynamic range, eliminating the need for transmitter gain adjustments. The backlit LCD screen and easy-to-navigate menu and controls allow you to quickly access the information you need. The interchangeable Beta 87A capsule provides the iconic sound that you know and trust, and the integrated shock mount and pop filter ensure clear and clean sound by rejecting unwanted background noise.

The QLXD2/B87A also offers several specifications for customization. The mic offset range can be adjusted from 0 to 21 dB in 3 dB steps, providing further control over sound. It can be powered by either Shure SB900A rechargeable Li-Ion batteries or AA batteries with a runtime of up to 10 hours and 9 hours respectively. The dimensions of the transmitter are 256 mm × 51 mm (10.1 in. × 2.0 in.), and it weighs 347 g (12.2 oz.) without batteries. The housing is made of machined aluminium for durability. The audio input is configured as unbalanced, with a maximum input level of 145 dB SPL (SM58) typical. The RF output uses an integrated single band helical antenna and has an occupied bandwidth of less than 200 kHz. The modulation type is Shure proprietary digital, and it offers a power output of 1 mW or 10 mW.
