The QLXD2/B58 is a wireless handheld microphone transmitter that delivers pristine and uninterrupted sound with a range of 100 meters. It offers outstanding flexibility with its interchangeable capsule, allowing users to customize the microphone to suit any situation using Shure’s famous sound signatures. The one-press IR sync feature ensures an interference-free connection with the receiver, and the backlit display screen provides clear visibility of important information. Users can easily select between channel/group frequency or battery runtime, eliminating guesswork and enabling confident performances.

Included in the box are the QLXD2 Beta 58 Handheld Transmitter, a microphone clip, and a zipper bag. The transmitter operates for up to 9 hours of continuous use with two AA batteries. It also features exceptionally detailed 24-bit/48kHz digital audio quality and over 120 dB of dynamic range, eliminating the need for transmitter gain adjustments.

The QLXD2/B58 transmitter has a backlit LCD screen with an easy-to-navigate menu and controls. The display can show either the group/channel frequency or battery runtime, providing flexibility and convenience. The microphone’s interchangeable Beta 58 capsule ensures the iconic sound quality that Shure is known for. Additionally, it is equipped with an integrated shock mount and pop filter for clear and clean sound. The cardioid polar pattern rejects unwanted background noise for improved audio quality.

The transmitter includes a control lock option to prevent accidental changes to settings. Its specifications include a mic offset range of 0 to 21 dB in 3 dB steps and the ability to use either Shure SB900A Rechargeable Li-Ion batteries or AA batteries with a runtime of up to 10 hours for the SB900A and up to 9 hours for AA batteries. The dimensions of the transmitter are 256 mm × 51 mm, and it weighs 347 g without batteries. The housing is made of machined aluminum.

The audio input configuration is unbalanced, and the maximum input level is 145 dB SPL (SM58) typical. The RF output uses an integrated single band helical antenna with an occupied bandwidth of less than 200 kHz. The modulation type is Shure proprietary digital, and the power output can be either 1 mW or 10 mW.
