Shure QLXD Lavalier Wireless System Builder K51
The Shure QLXD Handheld Wireless Microphone is designed with technology from Shure’s most advanced systems to provide unparalleled signal stability. This wireless system is built to perform in challenging environments, making it ideal for professional use. With a range of powerful features, QLX-D makes wireless operation easy. Its Automatic Channel Scan quickly locates clear frequencies at the press of a button, eliminating dropouts with intelligent Predictive Switching. Running multiple systems is effortless with this complete wireless system, which includes a QLXD handheld transmitter and microphone that are perfectly suited for vocals, along with an optional rack case for convenient portability.

For large events and high-profile productions, the Shure QLXD system offers the ability to run multiple systems in harmony. With the new Network Scan feature, setting up multiple systems is remarkably simple. A single receiver can scan and deploy open frequencies to all connected receivers via Ethernet, allowing you to coordinate the frequencies of up to 60 channels in just a few seconds. This is especially useful when the RF environment can change dramatically due to TV equipment or security personnel. The system can adapt to these changes with a network scan, eliminating the need for manual adjustments.

The Shureplus Channels App provides remote monitoring and control of your networked system. Using your iPad or iPhone, you can access intelligent features such as viewing each channel’s battery level, RF status, and audio level. Real-time gain adjustments can also be made, providing convenience and flexibility during performances. This eliminates the need to be constantly near the receivers throughout the performance.

To ensure confidentiality, the QLXD system offers AES-256 Encryption, the highest standard of encryption available. This encryption establishes a private one-to-one relationship between the transmitter and receiver, making the wireless transmission impenetrable. Approved by top cryptographers, you can share sensitive information with total peace of mind.

The QLXD transmitter provides up to 9 hours of continuous use with the included AA batteries. However, you can also take advantage of Shure’s rechargeable technology with the optional SB900 lithium-ion battery, which provides 10 hours of run time. The transmitter displays the remaining battery life in hours and minutes, and there are various charging options available, including an eight-bay charger, a single-battery USB charger, and a dual docking station. The dual docking station allows for charging without removing the battery, thanks to the external charging contacts. In emergencies, a 15-minute quick charge can provide an hour of use.

Constructed with a robust yet lightweight aluminum, the QLX-D transmitters and receivers are built to withstand the demanding nature of professional touring. The system also comes with a rackmount kit for easy integration into your current rig, ensuring safe transportation from venue to venue.

Setting up the QLXD system is quick and easy. Simply press the “menu” button and then “enter” on the receiver to perform an Automatic Channel Scan. The group and channel will appear on the display screen within seconds, indicating that the receiver is ready to use. To pair the transmitter, press the sync button while aligning the transmitter’s IR window to the receiver display. Once a solid connection is established, the receiver will display “good.” There is no need for trial and error; the setup process is simple and efficient.

The QLXD4 Receiver has a weight of 777g without antennas, with dimensions of 41 x 197 x 151 mm (H x W x D). It operates on 12 V DC power supplied by an external power supply, and its RF input has a spurious rejection of over 80 dB. The receiver has a range of audio outputs, including a 1/4″ and XLR connector with balanced impedance of 50 Ω. The networking capabilities of the receiver include a single port Ethernet interface with 10/100 Mbps capability, and it can be configured using DHCP or a manual IP address.

The QLXD2 Handheld Transmitter is compatible with Shure SB900A Rechargeable Li-Ion batteries or AA batteries. The battery runtime is up to 10 hours with the SB900A battery and up to 9 hours with AA batteries. The transmitter has dimensions of 256 mm x 51 mm and a weight of 347 g without batteries. It features an integrated single-band helical antenna and uses Shure’s proprietary digital modulation type. The power output can be set to 1 mW or 10 mW.
