The GLX-D+ family of systems operates in both the 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz wireless frequency ranges, utilizing dual-band technology. This new development more than doubles the available bandwidth, allowing the system to find a clean, clear channel for the best sound quality and stability possible. The system automatically scans to find a suitable channel when turned on, eliminating the need for manual adjustments. It also selects backup frequencies to switch to if interference unexpectedly appears, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted show.
Shure has extended the battery life of the GLX-D+ system through the redesign of the lithium-ion battery pack. It now offers up to 12 hours of continuous use in the 5.8 GHz band and 17 hours in the 2.4 GHz band, making it suitable for long events.
The system includes the Beta 87A microphone capsule, which is perfect for delicate voices that require a sparkling high-end. This live condenser microphone delivers the depth and body of a condenser microphone with the present mids that have defined Shure’s sound. It has been used by renowned vocalists like Thom Yorke and Elton John, and now it is available in a wireless format.
