The GLX-D+ family of wireless headset systems features all-new dual-band technology. This system operates in both the 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz wireless frequency ranges. It is both digital and license-free in most countries worldwide (refer to the included map for exceptions). This new design more than doubles the available bandwidth, allowing the system to find a clean, clear channel for the best sound quality and stability. When turned on, the system will automatically scan to find a suitable channel without the need for any manual input. Additionally, the system will select backup frequencies to switch to if interference unexpectedly appears, ensuring a smooth and uninterrupted show.

Shure has extended the battery life of the GLX-D+ system. The redesigned lithium-ion battery pack now offers up to 12 hours of continuous use at the 5.8 GHz band and 17 hours in the 2.4 GHz band. This allows the system to last throughout long events without the need for frequent recharging.

The system includes the MX153 earset microphone, which features an omnidirectional condenser element for detailed sound and spacious pickup. It has no proximity effect, preventing low-frequency mud when the capsule is placed closely to the user, resulting in extreme clarity. The microphone is equipped with CommShield technology, which prevents interference and ensures a comfortable and consistent fit with clear sound.

Included in the system are the GLXD4R+ Wireless Receiver, GLXD1+ Bodypack Transmitter, MX153 Headset Microphone, PS43 Power Supply, SB904 Lithium-ion Rechargeable Battery, Zippered Vinyl Bag, and Rack Mount Hardware.

The system features dual-band digital wireless technology that provides exceptional RF performance. It operates in both the 2.4 GHz and 5.8 GHz wireless frequency ranges, offering a broader bandwidth. This allows for easier finding of clean channels to prevent interference and dropouts. The system automatically selects backup frequencies in case of sudden interference. The transmitters and receivers instantly pair for quick and easy setup. The new and improved rechargeable lithium-ion battery delivers up to 12 hours of battery life, and the quick-charge function provides 1.5 hours of battery from just a 15-minute charge.

The GLXD4R+ Dual Band Rack Receiver has a compact design with dimensions of 7.7 x 6.4 x 1.6 in (196.8 x 162.97 x 41.8 mm). It weighs 30.5 oz. (866 g) without batteries and is made of steel. The receiver operates with a power requirement of 14.5 V – 17 V and 600 mA. It has a spurious rejection of >35 dB typical and a gain adjustment range of -18 to 42 dB in 1 dB steps. The XLR and 6.35 mm (1/4″) outputs have impedance balanced configurations. The maximum audio output level is 1 dBV for the XLR connector and +8.5 dBV for the 6.35 mm (1/4″) connector. The receiver also features a mic/line switch and dual antennas for excellent signal stability.

The GLXD1+ Dual Band Bodypack Transmitter has dimensions of 4.5 x 2.6 x 1.1 in (115 x 66.94 x 28.51 mm) without the antenna and weighs 5.4 oz. (153.1 g) without the battery. It operates with a power requirement of 3.7 V rechargeable lithium-ion. The housing is made of cast metal with a black powdercoat. The input impedance is 900 kΩ and the RF output power is 10 mW E.I.R.P. max. It has a 4-pin male mini connector (TA4M) input configuration and an internal monopole antenna.

The MX153 Earset Microphone features a TA4F (TGQ) connector and has an omnidirectional polar pattern. The transducer type is condenser, and it has a tailored frequency response of 20 Hz – 20 kHz. The sensitivity is -41.00 dBV/Pa – 9.00 mV/Pa, and the equivalent self-noise is 34. The microphone can handle sound pressure levels of up to 107 dB SPL. It weighs 19 g and has the product code MX153C/O-TQG.
