Setting up the system is simple. Plug the mic outputs into a channel on your mixing desk, just like a normal wired mic. Perform a Quickscan by pressing the group button on the receiver to search your environment for the clearest frequency. Pair the bodypack transmitters to the receiver using the transmitters’ group and channel buttons. The ready LED on the receiver will light up, indicating that the system is set up and secure. Now you can perform with wireless freedom.
The WL185 lavalier microphone included in the system is a premium cardioid microphone that offers accurate sound reproduction. It features interchangeable cartridges, allowing users to choose between cardioid, supercardioid, and omnidirectional condenser cartridges (sold separately). The rotatable tie clip allows for accurate microphone positioning, and the supplied dual tie clip holds two microphones for dual miking applications. The Shure BLX88UK System provides comprehensive monitoring and peace of mind. The receiver’s “ready” LED indicates when the system is set up and secure, and there is no need to worry about signal dropouts. If the channel starts clipping, an LED switches from green to red, letting you know if you should activate the transmitters’ -10dB gain control. There is also an LED monitor to tell you when the batteries are running low on the transmitter. The system is clear and simple to set up straight out of the box.
