Designed for Precision & Versatility The signature Alpha neck pickup is designed after the custom shop model Mark Holcomb created to accommodate the precise and versatile playing style required for Periphery. This neck model offers a different feel and tone to traditional neck pickups combining the best qualities of neck and bridge pickups to deliver a fat glassy sound with plenty of pick attack and fretting-hand phrasing perfect for progressive metal and djent. About Mark Holcomb Mark Holcomb is a guitarist from the Grammy-nominated band Periphery who are considered one of the pioneers of the Djent movement in progressive metal. Lending his guitar work to Periphery and Haunted Shores few guitarists are as advanced as Mark resulting in his own set of signature pickups designed to accommodate the incredible precision and versatile playing styles required for both bands. Their open humbucker design features a high output which complements the heavy distorted tones of Djent and works well standing alone or working in a dense mix. The Alpha/Omega set has been the heartbeat of my sound for the past several years. Since we developed and released the first 6-string set in the custom shop I’ve had the same pickup set in every one of my 6 7 and 8-string guitars live and in the studio. It has remained one of the few components of my rig and setup that I haven’t even thought about tweaking. – Mark Holcomb Specifications DCR: 8.02 Magnet: Ceramic Cable: 4C Shielded Dimensions Length: 3.320 Height: 1.435 Depth: 0.820
