Sennheiser EW-DX SK Wireless Bodypack Transmitter S1-10 Band
The Sennheiser EW-DX SK is a wireless bodypack that is compatible with Evolution Wireless Digital systems and has a 3.5 mm jack connector. It features a rugged metal housing and can be used for up to 12 hours. The bodypack is compatible with most Sennheiser lavalier and headset microphones and has a persistent E-Ink display and charging contacts.

The EW-DX system itself is a digital UHF system that can be easily scaled. It offers AutoScan for quick and easy setup and deploys frequencies with equidistant channel spacing. Sennheiser also provides a range of tools including Control Cockpit Wireless System Manager and Smart Assist App for remote monitoring and control of the system.

The EW-DX SK simplifies the wireless workflow with its built-in function buttons for easy control from the bodypack. It includes a button lock function to prevent accidental changes to settings during use. The persistent E-Ink display allows users to see the settings even when changing batteries, making it convenient for keeping track of different wireless bodypacks.

With Autoscan, setting up the wireless system is a breeze. Users can easily set up multiple transmitters at equidistant frequency intervals, which is great for creating a scalable system. Additionally, Sennheiser offers a wide range of apps for managing and controlling the wireless setup.

The EW-DX SK comes with a range of features such as the Sennheiser Performance Audio Codec (SePAC) that eliminates the need for setting gain and provides a 134 dB range. It has a 100 m range and 10mW fixed RF power. The E-Ink display persistently shows information and parameters, even when switching batteries. Charging contacts allow for in-device charging with a separately available charger.

Users can control all transmitter settings from the bodypack using the built-in function buttons. The mute button can be programmed to be RF mute, AF mute, or disabled. The bodypack also offers digital audio and mic input trim control, a test tone generator for testing and troubleshooting, and an LED that can be configured to be on or off. The low cut can be switched off or set to different frequencies. The instrument input has cable emulation to simulate cable characteristics.

The rugged metal housing is designed for use on stage, and the bodypack can be used in any RF environment (subject to local regulations).

The specifications of the system include a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) frequency range of 2402 to 2480 MHz, an audio frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz (-3 dB) at 3 dBfs, and an audio THD of less than or equal to -60 dB for 1 kHz at -3 dBfs input level. The dynamic range is 134 dB, and the system latency is 1.9 ms. The operating temperature range is -10°C to +50°C, and the relative humidity range is 5% to 95% (non-condensing).

The EW-DX SK bodypack transmitter has an input voltage range of 2.0 to 4.35 V and an input current of less than 300 mA. It can be powered by 2 AA batteries (1.5 V) or a BA 70 rechargeable battery pack. The occupied bandwidth is 200 kHz, and the transmission power is 10 mW ERP for audio link and LD mode, and a maximum of 10 mW EIRP for BLE. The dimensions of the bodypack transmitter are 63.5 x 85 x 20 mm (without antennas), and the weight without batteries is approximately 115-120 g.
