It is specifically designed to be paired with XSW series transmitters and microphones. The receiver also features an easy-to-use design with automatic frequency management and synchronization via remote channel.

The rugged metal housing of the EM-XSW 2 provides durability, and it comes with detachable external antennas. It offers eight frequency banks with twelve preset channels in each, allowing for manual tuning of 960 frequencies. The true diversity reception ensures reliable signal transmission.

The receiver has a detailed front-panel display that provides information on operating antenna frequencies, channels and banks in use, RF and AF levels, and the battery status of the transmitter. It operates in the frequency range of 606MHz – 630MHz (Sennheiser GB Band) and has a sensitivity of less than 3µV at 52dB(A) RMS S/N (at peak deviation). The AF frequency response is 50Hz – 16kHz (-3dB).

The output voltage at peak deviation 1kHz AF 1/4 Socket Unbalanced is +6dBu, while the XLR Socket Balanced output voltage is +12dBu. The audio adjustment range is 40dB adjustable via a jog dial, and it offers line/mic level switching of 20dB. The squelch is adjustable from 3dBµV to 28dBµV, combined with a pilot tone.

The EM-XSW 2’s housing is made from rugged metal and it operates on a 12V DC 300mA power supply. Its dimensions are approximately 200mm x 42mm x 127mm, and it weighs approximately 680g.
