Roland Aerophone AE-20 Digital Wind Instrument - Ex Demo
The Roland Aerophone AE-20 is an ex-demo wind instrument with a streamlined design. It is quality checked by repair technicians and may show light signs of use. Please note that any promotional materials, offers, software, or subscriptions available when purchased as new may not be available with this ex-demo product.

This instrument features two sound engines – SuperNATURAL and Zen-Core – allowing for a wide range of acoustic and electronic sounds. It has low-latency breath and bite sensors, ensuring excellent playability. The comfortable keywork can be programmed to play with saxophone, clarinet, flute, recorder, or brass fingerings, making it accessible to musicians from different backgrounds.

The Aerophone AE-20 can be played anywhere, thanks to its built-in speaker and battery-powered operation. It can also be connected to a PA system for stage performances or to a computer via USB-MIDI for studio work. Additionally, there are mobile apps available for fine-tuning the sound and performance (Aerophone Pro Editor) and for interactive teaching (Aerophone Lesson) using Bluetooth connectivity.

The reed-style mouthpiece of the Aerophone AE-20 will feel familiar to woodwind players, while its rapid response and natural vibrato control make it accessible to beginners. The breath and bite sensors are highly sensitive and customizable, as is the fingering setup. The instrument offers a seven-octave range and easy transposition options, making it versatile for playing along with various musical styles.

The AE-20 utilizes Rolands SuperNATURAL sound engine to deliver realistic acoustic sounds, including saxophones, flute, trumpet, clarinet, and world instruments like the shakuhachi or bagpipes. It also incorporates the ZEN-Core Synthesis System for classic analog synth sounds and modern digital voices. The 260+ preset voices on the Aerophone have been curated to complement wind-style dynamics and articulations.

This instrument is perfect for live performances, as it can be directly plugged into amps or PA systems. It also offers the flexibility of headphone use for private practice, with approximately six hours of continuous battery life. By connecting to a computer, the Aerophone’s MIDI data output can control software instruments for endless creative possibilities.

Roland’s Aerophone Lesson and Aerophone Pro Editor apps are available for mastering the instrument and customizing sounds. Aerophone Lesson offers interactive lessons that can be played along using the Aerophone’s sound system. Aerophone Pro Editor allows for fine-tuning tones and layered sounds.
