The Rode WS7 Deluxe Windshield is an easy to use high-performance windshield for shotgun microphones. It is specifically designed to reduce wind noise when recording in adverse environmental conditions. The windshield combines an open-cell foam surround with an outer layer of acoustically transparent artificial fur. This combination helps to effectively block out unwanted wind interference during recordings.
A rubber base is included in the design of the WS7 to prevent any wind noise from entering the rear of the microphone pickup area. This further enhances the overall performance of the windshield. The WS7 is compatible with various Rode microphones and accessories, including the NTG3. It is suitable for shotgun microphones with a maximum slot length of 186.5mm (7 1/4″) and a diameter of 19-20mm.
