Radial SGI-44 Guitar Signal Extender
The Radial SGI-44 is a line driver that allows you to extend your guitar signal up to 100 meters without any loss in signal quality. With this device, you can maintain your rich and pure tone while driving your signal to greater distances. Whether you want to record your amp from a different room or keep your pedalboard at your feet while your amp is located elsewhere during performances, the SGI-44 is perfect for achieving these setups. It is designed to be used with the Radial JX44 and features Radial’s renowned build quality and premium-grade components for reliability. Adding this handy device to your live or studio rig will allow you to push your signal further than ever.

Features of the SGI-44 include balanced line-driver functionality for the Radial JX44 guitar and amp switcher. You can send your guitar signal over 100 meters without any signal loss, thanks to the 100 percent discrete class-A circuitry and Drag control. The device also serves as a bi-directional send and receive effects router, making it ideal for connecting a remote pedalboard to your JX44 without any loss of signal or added noise. It enables you to keep your pedalboard at your feet on stage while managing instrument switching and amplifier control remotely through the JX44. Using a pair of SGI-44s together allows you to extend the effects loop of your amplifier to any point on stage. Furthermore, the SGI-44 takes care of all the necessary balancing, buffering, and impedance matching to ensure your signals are delivered without any noise or distortion. It features a proprietary hybrid active-drive circuit with isolated Jensen transformers and a separate buffered 1/4 high-impedance output for connecting an electronic tuner.

The SGI-44 is powered by a 15VDC/400mA power adapter, which is included. A green LED power indicator lets you know when the power supply is connected. The device also includes a Drag control that allows you to adjust the load on passive pickups, delivering a more realistic tone. Additionally, it has a ground lift switch to remove any hum or buzz caused by ground loops. Its vibrant yellow finish makes it easy to locate on a crowded stage or among cables.

Specifications of the SGI-44 include an active 100 percent discrete class-A audio circuit with transformer isolation, a frequency response of 20Hz – 20kHz (-2dB), a dynamic range of 105dB, and a total harmonic distortion of 0.005 percent at 1k. It also has an intermodulation distortion of 0.02 percent at 1k, variable input impedance from 10k Ohms to 1 megaOhm, and an output impedance of 1/4 Unbalanced Output: 218 Ohms and TX Balanced Output: 280 Ohms. The device has a noise level of -100dBu and a maximum input of +2dBu. Input connectors include 1/4 and XLR, while output connectors include 1/4 and XLR. The SGI-44 is constructed with a 14-gauge steel chassis and outer shell, and for optimal performance, it should be used in dry locations only between 5°C and 40°C. Its dimensions are 102mm x 76mm x 165mm (L x W x D), and it weighs 1.36kg / 3lbs.
