Unlike typical active DI boxes, it won’t overload even when played at maximum volume. Thanks to its unique switching power supply, the internal rail voltage can handle up to 9 volts, resulting in improved signal handling and virtually noise-free operation.
The J48 features exceptional signal integrity, a built-in merge switch for summing stereo instruments to mono, excellent signal handling and low noise from discrete and IC circuitry, a polarity reverse switch to quickly correct phase on old gear, an 80Hz high pass filter to clean up the bottom end, and a ground lift switch to remove unwanted humming and buzzes. It is powered by 48V phantom power, eliminating the need for batteries.
With its 15dB pad, you can easily reduce input sensitivity for high-output instruments, and the 1/4″ jack input and thru allow you to connect a wide range of equipment. Its balanced 600-ohm mic level output ensures a flawless connection.
