Hardwood Enclosures and High-Quality Drivers
The XPRS-15 speaker features a robust 15mm birch plywood cabinet, housing a 15″ ferrite low-frequency driver and a 1.75″ titanium diaphragm compression driver. This configuration ensures a dynamic, natural sound output. Pioneer’s AFAST technology is incorporated to significantly reduce standing waves, which often affect the clarity of low to mid-range frequencies.
Powersoft Class D Amplifier
The incorporated Powersoft Class D amplifier is capable of delivering a continuous 1200 watts of power, akin to larger, standalone speaker amplifiers. Its Power Factor Correction (PFC) technology minimizes power consumption while maintaining reliable, consistent performance in any environment. The auto-ranging power supply feature allows the XPRS-15 to perform exceptionally worldwide, even in venues with unstable power sources.
Extensive Advanced Protection Features
The XPRS series speakers come equipped with multiple protection features for the drivers, amplifier, and power supply. This ensures long-term reliability, consistent studio-quality sound, and an extended lifespan for the sound system.
Four EQ Modes
The XPRS-15 offers four distinct EQ modes to cater to different genres and environments. ‘Flat’ mode provides a neutral, true-to-source audio reproduction. ‘Bass +’ enhances the bass for richer, deeper sounds, ideal for dance music. ‘Speech’ mode ensures clear, natural vocal output, perfect for presentations and meetings. ‘Wedge’ mode turns the XPRS-15 into a floor monitor, balancing the sound by reducing low frequencies.
Flexibility and Freedom
The speaker’s horn offers a 90 x 60-degree dispersion, which can be rotated by 90 degrees, allowing for vertical or horizontal mounting. Its wedge shape and pole mount socket offer additional positioning options, enabling precise sound direction. The speaker can be positioned straight or tilted by 7 degrees.
Multiple Inputs and Outputs
Equipped with two balanced XLR/TRS combo inputs, an unbalanced RCA input, and individual and master controls for each line, the XPRS series speakers accommodate a variety of sources. Two balanced XLR through output connectors enable easy linkage to additional speakers or the XPRS-215S Active Subwoofer.
