The Peavey ValveKing II is a next generation tube guitar amp that offers all the tonal qualities and attention-to-detail circuitry of a boutique amplifier at an affordable price. It is designed to meet the versatile needs of today’s working guitarists.
Featuring boutique qualities and hot-rodded tones, the ValveKing II also incorporates new cutting-edge features for recording and performing musicians. For recording purposes, it includes a USB direct recording output that allows the amp’s miced vibe to be directly sent into a computer. Additionally, the built-in Peavey MSDI (Microphone Simulated Direct Interface) XLR direct interface eliminates the need for miking by sending the amp’s signal directly to a recording device or mixing console.
With versatile tone options suitable for rock, jazz, or metal, the ValveKing II offers the capabilities to create almost any sound imaginable. It includes ValveKing’s proprietary Vari-Class knob that allows guitarists to adjust the amp’s “class” characteristics, providing complete power amp type versatility. The amp also features the TSI (tube-monitoring indicator) that keeps users informed about the health of their tubes.
The ValveKing II is customizable and offers high-end features such as the 3-way variable power switch, allowing users to tailor the output to their performance situation without compromising tone. With triple 12AX7s, two independent foot-switchable channels with individual EQ, and the Vari-Class variable Class A/AB simulation control, the ValveKing II delivers customizable all-tube power.
The ValveKing II line includes the portable ValveKing Micro Head, ValveKing Head, ValveKing Combo 20, and ValveKing Combo 50, each offering its own set of professional features and boutique tones.
Additional features of the Peavey ValveKing II include EL84 and three 12AX7 tubes, damping control for presence and resonance, a buffered effects loop, power switch options (20w, 5w, and 1w), TSI tube monitoring with LED pass/fail indicator lights, footswitch inputs for channel/boost control and reverb/effects loop control, a USB direct recording output, reverb with level control, and footswitchable gain/volume boost on the lead channel. The amp also has separate EQ for each channel and two speaker outputs with an impedance switch for using an external cabinet.
