As well as the capsule switch the V67i also features attenuation control and an onboard high-pass filter. Located on the rear of the microphone the two switches allow you to customise the sound of the mic to suit your recording application. When switching the attenuation control to -6dB the V67i becomes optimised for handling high sound pressure levels – ideal for capturing loud sound sources such as electric guitars. The low frequency roll-off switch is ideal for eliminating unwanted low-end sound such as wind noise when recording outdoors.
