Mapex’s Specific Shell Construction gives each shell in the Saturn Evolution Shell Pack a unique voice. The thickness is added to larger shells, and the depths of the shells graduate up to half an inch with custom bearing edges, providing the optimal tone and resonance for each drum. The patented SONIClear bearing edges ensure maximum contact between the drumhead and shell, allowing for greater resonance. The SONIClear bearing edges also offer a wide tuning range. The pack includes a 22″ x 18″ bass drum, 10″ x 8″ and 12″ x 9″ rack toms, and 16″ x 16″ and 14″ x 14″ floor toms, as well as 2x TH800 SONIClear Tom Holders.
The birch/walnut hybrid shells of the Mapex Saturn Evolution Shell Pack deliver powerful and dark tones, while the Halo mounts allow for full resonance and pure tones.
