The design of the Nighthawk combines elements of the SG and Les Paul guitars. It features a glued-in SlimTaper™ 25.5″ scale Mahogany neck for a warm tone and great sustain. The body is made of Translucent Red Mahogany with a belly scarf for added comfort. The headstock is back-angled at 14 degrees, ensuring the strings stay firmly in the nut slots. The fingerboard is made of Rosewood and has 22-medium jumbo frets with mother-of-pearl “Crown” inlays.
With its unique pickup package, the Nighthawk allows you to achieve a wide range of tones. It includes a full-size NHT humbucker (bridge), a NSX single-coil (middle), and a NHR mini-humbucker (neck). These pickups, combined with a 5-way slider and push/pull coil-tapping tone knob, give you a total of 9 different tones to choose from. The pickups are double-wax-potted to prevent microphonics at high volumes.
