DAddario Zyex These strings feature a core made of multifilament synthetic materials – named Zyex. This is the key to the strings flexibility and elasticity as well as its natural gut like sound. The A and D strings are wound with aluminium the lightness of this metal is ideal for higher strings. The G string is wound with silver a material often used in strings as it is resistant to corrosion. The C string is wound with tungsten – the heaviest material used on strings making this excellent for lower strings. Light tension This set of strings are light tension. These will produce a softer sound than higher tensions however you will find these strings easier to stop and as a result may find that you have a higher playing stamina on these strings.
