DAddario NS Electric Contemporary strings NS Electric Contemporary strings are constructed with a solid steel core which produces a clear warm tone. The G and D strings have Nickel winding and the A and E strings have a Stainless steel winding. There are also high C strings and low B strings available for people who have NS Designs 5 or 6 string basses. These strings are specially designed for electric upright basses they are of a shorter length to account for the lack of a tailpiece on these instruments. Light tension This set of strings are light tension. These will produce a softer sound than higher tensions however you will find these strings easier to stop and as a result may find that you have a higher playing stamina on these strings.
