The X32 expansion card offers versatile multi-track recording possibilities, whether you’re in the studio or on stage. You can record multi-tracks using your preferred operating system, whether it’s Mac, PC, or flash media. With the dual SD/SDHC slot, you have up to 64GB of uncompressed recording and playback available. The card also allows you to play back a session from your SD card and record it directly into your preferred DAW via USB, expanding the sonic possibilities of your recordings. You can use your favorite EQs, compressors, and reverbs to process tracks recorded with the X32. Behringer ensures that the possibilities of recording are truly endless.

The X32 expansion card comes with various features, including 32-channel live recording and playback on dual SD/SDHC cards, up to 3 hours of 48 kHz/32-bit PCM recording of 32 channels in one session stored as uncompressed WAV files, and a 32-channel bi-directional USB 2.0 audio/MIDI interface for studio and live recording. It also offers independent operation of SD cards and USB recording/playback, dual SD card slots to keep virtual sound check and live performance files separate, and a unique sample-synchronized automatic spanning feature that allows extending a session across both SD cards for more than 12 hours of 8-track recording time non-stop.

Additional features include instantaneous live playback with preload and markers in the console UI and remote apps, the ability to set markers on the fly for identifying song positions while recording or playing back, and the ability to edit all markers directly in the console GUI. The X32 expansion card also allows for channel routing to be stored and automated for record/playback, and it ensures secure file handling in the event of a power blackout (requires optional CR123A Lithium cell).

The card supports HUI/Mackie Control* emulation for controlling any compatible DAW software from the console surface and is compatible with CoreAudio on Mac OSX. It is designed and engineered in Germany.
