Behringer B2030A Truth Active Studio Monitor Single
The Behringer B2030A Truth Active Studio Monitor is designed with a bi-amplified system that includes a 6.75″ long-throw woofer and a 0.75″ ferrofluid-cooled tweeter. It offers various controls on the rear panel for low frequency, high frequency, and room compensation, allowing you to customize the monitor’s performance to match any acoustic environment. The B2030A delivers accurate audio reproduction with precise bass and clear highs, making it ideal for studio mixing, mastering, and playback.

The TRUTH B2030A is built on a legacy and packs all the great features of a standard-sized active TRUTH monitor into a more compact cabinet. It is perfect for nearfield monitoring applications, from small mixing environments to multi-channel surround setups. Despite its small size, the B2030A can achieve a peak output level exceeding 113 dB SPL. With built-in 80- and 35-Watt amplifiers, along with a high-precision active crossover, these monitors provide an ultra-linear frequency response from 50 Hz to 21 kHz.

Unlike bookshelf-style home stereo speakers that are not designed for critical listening, the B2030A delivers rock-solid bass. Its long-throw 6.75″ polypropylene-diaphragm woofer ensures smooth and deep bass down to 50 Hz. The bass reproduction is honest and not exaggerated like in home speaker systems, capturing subtle nuances such as the sound of fingers on the strings or the rush of air through the long pipes of a cathedral organ. The polypropylene woofer is lightweight, allowing it to respond quickly to fast transient peaks, and its stiffness ensures midrange accuracy and definition. The aluminium die-cast chassis maintains suspension integrity and provides efficient voice-coil cooling.

The B2030A features an ultra high-resolution 0.75″ ferrofluid-cooled tweeter mounted on Behringer’s proprietary wave-guide. Unlike some competitors’ studio monitors that have a focused “sweet spot,” Behringer’s wave-guide creates a broader listening zone. This allows for freedom of movement within the stereo image to find the ideal spot for instrument or effects placement. Additionally, the wide “sweet spot” helps prevent “monitor fatigue-syndrome” caused by harsh high-mid and treble content during long mix-down sessions.

Behringer has incorporated 115-Watts of bi-amped technology, including a time- and phase-optimized active crossover, into every B2030A. This ensures ample power reserves to drive the monitors to their full potential. The unique Behringer wave-guide and low-distortion crossover network produce a linear frequency response, excellent sound dispersion, and accurate stereo imaging.

The B2030A is designed to function in various acoustic environments. It is equipped with switches that adapt the monitor’s low and high-frequency characteristics for optimal performance in different listening environments. The monitors also feature Room Compensation switches, allowing them to be placed against walls or in corners without sacrificing bass response. XLR and 1/4″ inputs accommodate a variety of audio sources, and the compact size and magnetic shielding of the B2030A allow for placement near video monitors, computer displays, or digital audio workstations.
