The ART SLA 4 is a linear 4×140 Watt amplifier ideal for powering passive speakers. Featuring Euroblock and four TRS inputs and four multi-way binding post outputs you can choose to bridge channels one and two and channels three and four at the same time or separately. This allows you to enter either multi-channel stereo or bridged mono amplifier modes. Safe from short circuits and overloading the SLA 4 features an ultrasonic network that decouples the RF from the output. Even with low impedance loads the SLA 4 is stable supporting 2 Ohms in stereo and 4 Ohms in bridged mono mode. Linear amplifiers require a considerable amount of power to operate because of this they generate heat that can lead to problems. The SLA 4 utilises a SmartFan cooling system that measures its ambient temperature and adjusts itself accordingly to lower it to an optimal operating temperature.
