The Apogee MEQ-5 is a software recreation of a classic Pultec midrange EQ unit. This will allow you to bring analog warmth to the midrange of your tracks. Critically, you can achieve this with precision using controls and sound that are faithful to the original unit.
Apogee has modeled this EQ off a real unit and worked closely with the current manufacturers to ensure their version sounds as good as possible. It can be loaded directly into your DAW without any additional software needed. Alternatively, you can use it with Apogee hardware DSP such as Symphony Desktop and Element Series. Please note that this product comes in the form of a digital download code that will be sent to your email for activation.

The Pultec MEQ-5 is an EQ that has been used by professional engineers for decades. Producer Jack Douglas, known for his work with John Lennon and Aerosmith, uses it for EQing guitars. It allows for complex midrange contouring that gives tracks a classic warm character. Now, anyone with Apogee’s software version can access this sound.
Apogee has taken a real MEQ-5 unit and reproduced it virtually, capturing every circuit and analog imperfection. The features of this software include precise and warm mid-frequency sculpting from an accurate hardware recreation. This software was created in conjunction with the current manufacturers of MEQ-5s and modeled from a new Pultec unit.
