Functional to the core To make the acoustic shield music stand as familiar as possible we designed it to closely resemble a traditional music stand. To ensure the stand can be used effectively the perspex screen can be angled in a variety of different ways. This provides maximum protection to whoever is in front of you. The stand is also height-adjustable meaning it can be used for both standing and seated performances. The screen even has two angled edges on each side to offer further dispersion coverage. At the bottom of the stand youll find the tripod base. This base is raised from the ground by 6cm meaning another tripod-style stand can be placed as close as possible. This is very important as it means you dont have to compromise the position of the acoustic stand while using a music/microphone stand. Hearing protection Here at Gear4music we understand that your hearing is your livelihood. Without it you couldnt do what you do best – make music. This is why you need to look after your hearing as once its start to deteriorate theres no going back. This is why the acoustic shield is so important – it protects musicians in the ensemble from the loudest instruments. Many of the worlds top orchestras recognise the importance of acoustic shields. By placing them in front of the loudest sections of the orchestra (usually the brass and percussion sections) it provides a much more enjoyable experience for the musicians sat directly in front of them. The brass section alone can peak around 137 decibels – thats the same as a jet engine.
