The pillar offers unbeatable structural rigidity allowing for high tension great sounding strings to be added to the instrument to give an unbeatable authentic sound. Connected directly between the neck and the sound chamber the pillar helps to give utmost resonance to the instrument creating a large sound and therefore more dynamic control to the player. The pillar is hand carved and finished in a contemporary manner to create an elegant looking instrument. The roundback harp is iconic.
