The Electro Harmonix Pixo ATtack Decay Tape Reverse Simulator is a successor to the renowned original – just in a super compact pico size! It offers the same striking volume and reverse swells artificial staccato notes and imitation of bowed instrument effects that made the original so loved just in a simplified and scaled-down size. Offering both Mono and Poly modes youve got a huge amount of creative options. In Mono mode all notes played each time the envelope is triggered share a single volume envelope. In contrast the Poly mode allows each note played to have its own volume envelope enabling the creation of cascading swell effects and smoothed attack leads.
Get creative The devices simplicity does not compromise its power; it comes equipped with four knobs and a mode button offering a variety of effects. The ATTACK knob controls the swell or fade-in speed of the volume envelope while the DECAY knob adjusts the fade-out speed. By setting a higher ATTACK you can achieve slow volume swells and a higher DECAY will allow for artificially short punchy notes akin to a synthesiser. The SENS knob adjusts the threshold needed to trigger the envelope while VOL controls the overall output volume. A hidden BLEND control offers the flexibility to adjust from 100 wet signal to 100 dry signal.
