The Rode NTG-2 is a microphone that offers broadcast sound quality. It has a balanced low impedance output stage and can be powered by either an internal 1.5 V battery or a 48 V power supply. With its wide bandwidth and controlled polar response, along with low noise SMT electronics, the NTG-2 is the perfect choice for film video engineering and voice-over work. It is also extremely lightweight, making it ideal for mounting directly to video cameras or on boom poles. The NTG-2 also includes a selectable high-pass filter at 80Hz to prevent low-end noise from being recorded, such as air conditioners and traffic.
