Although its designed to be very aggressive it still retains plenty of clarity and brightness to cut through the mix and ensure your sophisticated solos complex single-note lines or intense solos can be heard. About Mark Holcomb Mark Holcomb is a guitarist from the Grammy-nominated band Periphery who are considered one of the pioneers of the Djent movement in progressive metal. Lending his guitar work to Periphery and Haunted Shores few guitarists are as advanced as Mark resulting in his own set of signature pickups designed to accommodate the incredible precision and versatile playing styles required for both bands. Their open humbucker design features a high output which complements the heavy distorted tones of Djent and works well standing alone or working in a dense mix. The Alpha/Omega set has been the heartbeat of my sound for the past several years.
