The MIC500USB has intuitive preamp settings with 16 unique voices that cater to different sources such as vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, bass guitars, keyboards, and more. It offers four varied voices: neutral, warm, warm and limiter, and limiter. The neutral setting aims to provide a clean and natural sound commonly associated with solid state designs. The warm setting adds rich harmonics and a natural form of compression, similar to the effect achieved by vacuum tubes. The warm and limiter setting injects vintage mojo into recordings with a greater sense of urgency and excitement. Finally, the limiter setting adds density and continuous output level for notes below the clipping level.
The MIC500USB features a wide array of controls for studio and live applications, including switches for +48V phantom power, 20 dB pad, phase reverse, and limiter. It also has a vintage-style gain and output knob for precise control. Monitoring is made easy with the 8-segment LED meter.
