Key features of the BLX88 receiver include the ability to support up to 12 compatible systems (depending on the region), microprocessor-controlled internal antenna diversity, and the QuickScan feature that locates the best open frequency with a single touch. It offers 1/4″ and XLR audio outputs and is equipped with two-color audio status indicator LEDs.

The receiver specifications include analog transmission, an external power supply, molded ABS receiver housings, and no active antenna capability. It does not have bias via BNC, high density mode, interference detection, or remote control functionality. Each frequency band can support up to 12 compatible systems, and the receiver does not have a DANTE Audio Network Interface. The scan features include Quick Scan, and the receiver does not have detachable antennas, logic functionality, or cascade capability. Rack hardware (optional URT2) is available, and the receiver displays information through LEDs. It is a dual-line receiver with no mic switch, offering 50 dB image rejection and a typical RF sensitivity of -105 dBm for 12dB SINAD. Phantom power protection is not provided. The receiver weighs 429 g and has dimensions of 40 mm in height, 388 mm in width, and 116 mm in depth.
