To set up the system, simply plug the mic output from the receiver into a channel on your mixing desk, just like a normal wired mic. Perform a Quickscan by pressing the group button on the receiver, which searches your environment to locate the clearest frequency. Then, pair the bodypack transmitter to the receiver using the transmitter’s group and channel buttons. The ready LED on the receiver will light up, indicating that the system is ready to use. Now, you can perform with wireless freedom.
The WL185 Lavalier Microphone included in this system is a premium cardioid microphone that features accurate sound reproduction and interchangeable cartridges. You can switch out cartridges to choose between cardioid, supercardioid, and omnidirectional condenser cartridges. The microphone also has a rotatable tie clip for accurate positioning and a dual tie clip for dual miking applications. It is ideal for speech-based performances such as presentations, lectures, or within houses of worship.
With a Shure BLX14UK System, you get wireless freedom with total peace of mind. The receiver’s “ready” LED will let you know when your system is set up and secure, and you don’t have to worry about signal dropouts. If the channel starts clipping, an LED will switch from green to red, indicating that you should activate the transmitter’s -10dB gain control. The transmitter also has an LED monitor to indicate when the batteries are running low. The system is clear and simple to set up straight out of the box.
