Electric Grand Vintage flavour Meticulously sampled through a 70s CP-80 electro-acoustic grand piano the Addictive Keys Electric Grand provides a unique take on piano sounds that is perfect for classic or modern pop producers. The CP-80 features pickups underneath the strings that can be fed directly to a recording console or other professional equipment such as amplifiers and outboard effects. The combination of acoustic electric and amplified sources lets you craft a unique tone with complex harmonics to capture your audience and invite them closer to your music. When capturing the sound of the electric grand piano a number of different recording chains were used to ensure the maximum amount of flexibility to help you and your mixes. Instead of just providing you with a simple line-out signal the Electric Grand provides you with a total of seven different ways to capture your performance making it the ultimate tool for pop producers or sound designers looking for a vintage flair to your piano tones. A basic direct-out is provided with an immaculately transparent signal path giving you the cleanest signal possible as well as a direct-out signal that has been run through a vintage hardware chorus unit to add dimension and width to your dry signal. Next is the amplified output where the CP-80 was played back through a classic MusicMan 112 RD tube combo amplifier for a unique and characterful sound. This was captured with three close-microphones with a stereo pair of room microphones to capture the room giving you a fantastic blend of options to tailor the sound to your mix. Lastly the CP-80 features hammers and strings much the same as an acoustic piano this acoustic sound has been captured using a stereo configuration. Mark One Distinguished sound Sampled using the immensely popular Rhodes MK. 1 electric piano the sounds of which have been heard on countless records over the last four decades the sound is unmistakable and when you hear it you know its done right. Selected for the classic warmth and intimacy the Rhodes gives you an energy thats not achievable with conventional digital pianos or keyboards. With a vintage flair with a rounded frequency response that is suitable for any occasion you can add dynamic to your reggae tracks create blistering jazz solos smooth R&B melodies and much more. Featuring three built-in effects that accurately model the original add reverb and tremolo to give your sound movement and depth as well drive for added crunch and harmonics. Although the Mark One includes a standard direct-out sound for the cleanest signal possible this is not the only recording chained used. The Addictive Keys Mark One also features an amplified output recorded through a MusicMan 112 RD tube combo amp that adds a huge amount of harmonics and saturation for a completely unique sound that will cut through your mix and be at the forefront. The tube combo electric guitar amplifier was captured with four rare classic microphones that can be mixed and matched to give you endless sound design options. Modern Upright Expansive sound To match the exquisite sound of the Yamaha U3 Upright Piano the Addictive Keys Modern Upright library was recorded in a large auditorium to provide the ultimate soundstage for your mixes. A lavish acoustic space the Modern Upright has a detailed ambience with a medium to long decay time making it perfect for emotive performances with lots of dynamic and detail to add space and depth to your music. To make sure that every nuance was captured in this library seven microphones were used in the recording space to give you a different perspective of how the piano may sound at any point in the room. Close and far microphones floor to ceiling mono and stereo all bring a unique flavour of how the sound of the Modern Upright changes to create the perfect level of ambience for your music. Studio Grand Pinnacle of grand pianos No ordinary grand piano the Addictive Keys Studio Grand features a Steinway Model D concert Grand Piano. This peak instrument is chosen by the worlds greatest pianists and orchestras thanks to its majestic and complex sound. More than ten pianos were auditioned before selecting the one featured in this library in order to find the most desirable traits and sound quality: a crystal clear and open timbre with a perfectly balanced resonance. Recorded in a large recording studio that is renowned for its acoustic properties the Addictive Keys Studio Grand is the perfect choice for mixing engineers thanks to its emphasis on being production-ready. The room this library was sampled in provides a tight and controlled decay whilst sounding extremely airy and detailed the perfect combination for recording a mammoth grand piano such as this. A grand piano is often a difficult instrument to fit into any mix thanks to its larger than life sound that covers a broad range of the frequency spectrum. You can often be fighting against the main focus of your song whether its vocals or guitar its a balancing act that might mean you take away the natural sound of the grand piano. To avoid this over ten pianos were auditioned to find one that had the most suitable sound to be dropped right into a mix. Recorded in a purpose-designed studio you are able to squeeze in with other instruments within your mix without losing the power and detail in your performance. Recorded at six different listening positions using vintage tube and ribbon microphones everywhere from close up to far away and roomy you can capture the true intention of your performance by blending between microphone selections.
