MoogerFooger Software MF-109s Saturator
The MoogerFooger Software MF-109s Saturator is a plug-in emulation of a hardware distortion pedal that brings warmth, distortion, and character to your digital recordings. It is born from the development of Moogerfooger Effects Plug-ins and is essential for producers looking to enhance their sound with analog saturation. The MF-109S Saturator is a versatile tool inspired by the renowned Moogerfooger input drive stage, offering a wide range of sound-shaping capabilities, including dynamic overdrive, analog saturation, compression, and expansion. With a wide-range envelope follower and bipolar control over the unique drive circuit, this plug-in allows for flexibility in crafting your ideal sound. It also models the noise generator circuit of the legendary Minimoog Model D synthesizer, providing precise control over the noise generator level and tone, as well as a switchable filter type for additional customization. The MF-109S Saturator seamlessly integrates with other Moogerfooger Effects Plug-ins through its envelope follower and noise CV outputs, as well as multiple CV inputs. Please note that this product is a digital download code that will be sent to your email for activation.

The MF-109S Saturator features advanced CV connectivity, allowing you to virtually patch external sources or other MoogerFooger Plug-ins to modulate parameters through external sources. It offers CV inputs to modulate various parameters, including Drive, Driven Envelope Amount, Noise Level, Noise Envelope Amount, and Tone, enabling you to create shifting tones that move with your music. The plug-in also offers customizable envelope settings for true stereo effects. By default, the envelope is set to MONO, affecting both the left and right audio channels equally. However, setting the envelope to STEREO allows for independent motion of the stereo drive based on each channel’s dynamics. Additionally, the RESPONSE control adjusts the envelope follower’s curve, with options for EXPONENTIAL, providing a sharper and faster response, or SMOOTH, offering a slower and more rounded response. Experimenting with different responses can help you find the best option for your specific sound. The MF-109S Saturator also provides four different filter types for the noise generator TONE shaper: Lowpass, Bandpass, Notch, and Highpass. These filters, modeled after 2-pole passive filters, add a smooth and non-resonant character to the noise shaping circuit, with the TONE control acting as a filter cutoff frequency control. The plug-in includes various features such as the ability to amplify the level of distortion, an output link for consistent volume monitoring, blending in the dry tone with the mix control, and CV connectivity to digitally patch in multiple plug-ins simultaneously. It also offers stereo functionality for processing individual tracks or busses and groups, and comes with a variety of presets to explore its sonic capabilities.

Operating system requirements for the MF-109S Saturator are macOS 10.13 or newer for Mac, and Windows 10 or newer for Windows. The processor requirements are Intel or Apple Silicon (64-bit) for Mac, and Intel (64-bit) for Windows. The plug-in is available in VST3, AudioUnits, and Pro Tools AAX formats for Mac, and VST3 and Pro Tools AAX formats for Windows. The product code for the MF-109S Saturator is 1422-1007.
