The Mackie MR824 8 Powered Studio Monitor is designed to deliver incredibly precise and accurate sound reproduction for your studio mixes. The ability to provide a faithful mix reproduction means that you can experience how your music will sound in other formats and environments.
With a logarithmic waveguide, the eight-inch Mackie monitor delivers a wide listening range that is both consistent and fully balanced across the entire frequency range. Providing a dynamic low-frequency response with an 8-inch woofer, the MR824 delivers incredible clarity thanks to the 1-inch silk dome tweeter, each powered with 85-watts of Class A/B amplification. Adjustable acoustic space and high-frequency filters let you optimize the monitors to your mix, whilst the all-wood cabinet ensures maximum durability and improved acoustic performance.
Logarithmic waveguide – wide dispersion and optimized stereo image
What sets the Mackie MR824 apart from standard studio monitors is Mackie’s custom logarithmic waveguide and ultra-flat frequency response, providing superior sound reproduction and optimized acoustic performance. The unique waveguide design provides ultra-wide dispersion, which results in improved stereo imaging and a wider sweet spot, capturing every nuance of your source audio with extreme sonic precision.
The accurate acoustic alignment ensures a balanced sound across the full frequency range, allowing you to make informed decisions when it comes to mixing and mastering. Not only is the MR824 ideal for music production and audio engineering, but it is also suited for a range of audio applications including podcasting, DJing, and multimedia work.
Powered by an 85-watt Class A/B amplifier, the bi-amplified design provides all the power you need for exceptional audio fidelity. Comprised of a 1-inch silk dome tweeter and an 8-inch polypropylene woofer, the MR824 delivers a detailed high-end for vocal clarity and a powerful low-end.
Adjustable acoustic space filters and attenuation
Another innovative feature of the MR824 is the adjustable acoustic plate filters, which are designed to maintain a flat frequency response in different workspaces. The rear panel features a three-position switch with handy annotated diagrams, allowing you to select which setting you require depending on your speaker placement. It also features a built-in high-frequency filter, which allows you to boost/cut the tweeter to optimize your high-end response depending on your listening position. The rear panel also features a bass-reflex port for added low-end power, as well as TRS, XLR, and RCA connections.
